The conference on the Shroud of Turin will be held in the TRAC center in Pasco, Washington, US, starting on Wednesday evening (July 19 of 2017) and all day Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (July 20 to 22 of 2017).  Presentations during the morning and afternoon sessions can be more technical in nature to communicate recent and previous research on the Shroud of Turin.  The evening programs (Wednesday through Saturday) will be somewhat more general in nature to encourage members of the community to attend.  A major purpose of the conference is to promote research on the Shroud, so this issue will be raised frequently during the conference.  An overview of the conference as it is currently planned is the following:

Wednesday Evening, 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm, July 19, 2017, Introduction and Summary of Research on the Shroud
Thursday 7:45 am to 9:30 pm, July 20, 2017, Preliminary Issues & History of the Shroud
Friday, 7:45 am to 9:30 pm, July 21, 2017, Science & Dating of the Shroud
Saturday, 7:45 am to 9:30 pm, July 22, 2017, Sudarium Studies & Image Formation on the Shroud

Those that are considering registering for the conference may desire more information than the above overview.  Therefore, the preliminary draft of the program is shown below, with the understanding that this is only a best estimate of the presentations and speakers based on their intentions that have been communicated to us.  As we have not yet  reached the deadline for abstract submittal (February 28) and in general papers have not yet been submitted or accepted, many changes and additions should be expected.    As abstracts and papers are submitted, and as decisions regarding these are made, these decisions will be incorporated into the program listed below.  Final decisions of the organizing committee will be based on the papers that will be submitted.  Below the program is a list of Shroud researchers that have indicated their intention to come to the conference and possible other topics on which they could speak.
